Another hit!! This food reminded me of the American Chinese food places of the 80s. Good quality food. The Orange Peel Chicken is my go to and the shrimp fried rice was the best I've had in 20 years.

Best restaurant in Chinatown. Came here many times and highly recommend it to anyone who likes Chinese food. It’s fresh and not greasy.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years, now. Their Peking duck is great! They also serve authentic and delicious Chinese meals. It’s worth the price, to have a taste of such good food.

By far the best item we have had is the Lobster with black bean sauce...and there wonton soup. We have been going there for over 20 years and the food never fails on satisfying our bellys

Honestly, this place was quite delicious. This is my first time eating duck so it was OK but the chow mein rice steak veggie mix was really good and I’m sure all the other common dishes were really good as well. I would definitely come back here atmosphere was nice environment was nice. The parking is a little crazy because it’s Chinatown in Los Angeles in general but other than that, I enjoyed our experience. There’s dozens of place to eat at, but we just happen to choose this one and I was happy with our choice.

Service is great. Had s good meal with a Heineken. Ordered food for 2 and took 2 plates of leftovers home. Orange chicken, beef Chowmein, and veggie fried rice were all amazing. They have comfortable seating. It is Handicap friendly. Children are welcomed. They have spinning tables for food and booths. Not busy for a Saturday at 4pm. Will definitely return. They have the Sriracha sauce. Yum!!

I don't come to LA very often but when i do i have to stop and eat here. They have one of the best chew mein i have ever tasted!

Update: Five stars again. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Food is cooked to order. WOW!!! This place is great. You must try it out. All the food we tried was on point. Great ambiance. Beautiful decor to add to your dining experience. They were short staffed when I went but even then our food came out pretty fast. Service was good. Server was friendly. Duck, chicken chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, pad mai it was all excellent. Will definitely return Highly recommend

There are a lot of places to eat in Chinatown but one of my favorite places that has been consistently good for so many years is Hop Woo. The lobster meal is the best deal out there but my go-to is the house special combo platter. If you're fortunate enough to see the renowned Chef Lupe there, be sure to say hi and ask him how he got his name.

came here with my family after a dodger game. my dad really likes this place so i was interested in try their food. service was solid. it was busy so it took a little to get our order, but our food came out quick. it's got a classic Chinese restaurant vibe. idk how else to explain the interior. i tried the chicken wings w/ spicy salt, fried rice, and orange peel chicken. the fried rice was solid, nothing to write home about, but i am also not a huge fried rice fiend. the orange peel chicken was very good. super crispy and the sauce was not overly sweet. my favorite dish was the chicken wing with spicy salt. it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. not to mention super flavorful. it wasn't very spicy but there was definitely spice to it if that makes sense. overall hop woo is very good food and you get a lot for the price. id recommend coming and trying if the menu looks intriguing to you.
